While studying with us, Lizzie entered an online competition which was looking for original music. Two weeks after submitting her pieces’ Lizzie was contacted by the competition organisers, Lionsgate Films.
Out of the 200 songwriters who were interviewed Lionsgate chose 20 to work on a project for them, and Lizzie was one of those chosen.
During her studies Lizzie went once a month to London to write collaboratively with the team and on her first trip worked with Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer. As the project developed, three pieces of Lizzie’s work were sent for scoring and all three were used in the movie.
The movie in question was The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 2 which went on to gross over $600 million at the box office globally.
“BAMM was a great place to start my career,”says Lizzie. “I would recommend it to anyone and I made loads of great friends and contacts.”
